It’s a very beautiful day today, with a forecast of 29 degrees and sunny. I decided that today, I’m going to go out, look cute, and visit this newly opened coffee shop that’s hiding in one of Melbourne CBD’s laneways.
Two Conversations
I’m so glad that we are finally out of Melbourne’s strict lockdown. Even though wearing a mask in public places is still mandatory, I’m just happy that businesses can re-open again, I can’t wait to visit new places and re-visit my favorite cafes and coffee shops for a dine-in galore.
Today’s adventure is to a freshly released establishment: Two Conversations down in Equitable PI lane, and I go there in the arvo for a quick coffee catch-up with a couple of friends. I arrived early, and whilst I was waiting for them to come, I decided to come in and checked the place out. I had a little chat with the Barista, he seemed nice and friendly, I asked him if I could take photos and he welcomed my little camera with open arms.
The inside space of Two Conversation is a little bit tight, there are little stools to sit in for six to eight people max, but with the social distancing, maybe less. Their menu is on the wooden board, very simple and straightforward, white-black-batch-iced-croffle. Coffee beans are from A Coffee, while the Croffle (Croissant Waffle) and some pastries inside the cabinet are provided by Bakemono Bakers.
Not too long after I finished taking photos of the inside space, my friends arrived, so then we ordered straight away. Since the weather was quite tropical that afternoon, I went for an iced batch brew and so did my friend. We decided to get some sunlight and sat in the outdoor space to embrace the warm heat.
The outside seating in Two Conversation was quite packed. To compromise the limiting furniture, we were sitting on the milk crate, and using the stool as our table instead. I was wrapped in a mini dress today so, sitting on the crate was quite uncomfortable, but you can always opt for the other way around if you see any stool available to use.
Sadly I didn’t get the CroffLe, though I was tempted to since they looked so good on the ‘gram, we were about to go for lunch after coffee, so I passed on it this time. The iced batch was refreshing, I love the glass they used, though I wish they would use a non-plastic straw. Overall, I enjoyed my time in Two Conversations. I hope they will do well and that we will cross paths again in the future!
